Thanks Helen!
As for me, I'm skipping the tree & buying my guitar some new strings! Skipping the gross fruitcakes & making a scrumptious decadent tofu chocolate cake to share with those I love! (Want the recipe? It's REALLY good).
As for presents, well I have to admit I REALLY like getting presents for the peops on my list, so I will be doing that still, but w/ a little less $$ spent (economy & all), and a little more thought to make those gifts - make those people - LAUGH & PLAY a few more times this year. :)

Happy Holidays everyone. Here's to Helen's always entertaining blog, & here's to those old stories we like to tell each other, every year, even though we've heard them a million times.

p.s.
I doubt this will ever happen again, but I thought I'd share b/c I find it amusing: I will ACTUALLY be in a Chinese restaurant in NH on Christmas this year with my dad & 90 yr. old grand-parents! I only hope they will be obliged to sing 'Fa ra ra ra - raa - ra - raa - ra - raaaa...'
You'll shoot your eye out! You'll shoot your eye out! ;)

Hope you are enjoying your guitar... and I hope you had a nice Chinese Christmas dinner :)
I also cut back on spending... made homemade pasta for everyone. It was fun, everyone liked it better and I am no more broke then usual :) Will do something similar every year now!
Yeah for a bad economy.... makes us all better people.
